Horstmann Brothers’ plant health programs are vital to prevent decay of your tree and shrubs from insects and diseases.    

Using a five-application program, HB’s Tree & Shrub plant health programs include:

• Insect & Disease inspections and treatments (3) - Designed to control insects that may come from neighboring yards and/or airborne diseases that can be blown in 
   

• Dormant Oil – Applied in late winter or early spring, dormant oil smothers insect eggs to prevent hatching
   

• Deep Root Fertilizer – Used to promote root growth and top growth and is usually applied in the fall or spring

Horstmann Brothers’ Integrated Pest Management
system means that our customers’ trees and shrubs won’t receive sprays unless it is needed.  Our licensed applicators visit throughout the season to first inspect the plants and then are properly equipped to treat any areas necessary.
